My Family

My Mommy was born in Barstow, California in 1972. This is her first picture. It doesn't even look like Mommy!! [newborn Shelly]

My Mommy moved around a lot when she was little because my Grandpa Burton worked for the FAA. He retired in January of 1998. Mommy has a little brother named Steven. I can't believe that Mommy and Uncle Steven were ever this small!

Get a load of these pictures!!! Can you guess who is who?

My Mommy is on the left and I am on the right. EEWWWW!

I can't believe my Mommy and her friends actually went out of the house dressed like this! It was my Mommy's 14th birthday. Pretty silly, huh? She's in the middle. Christine is on the right and Amy is on the left.

Here is my Mommy when she was 17 years old.

My Mommy and Daddy weren't dating when my Mommy went to her senior prom. A nice boy named Vic took her though. Isn't Mommy pretty? My Grandma Burton spent her first paycheck from Ben Franklin Crafts on Mommy's dress. Mommy wishes she could still fit into it!

Here are all of my Great-Grandparents. This picture was taken when my Mommy graduated from high school! On the left are my Great-Grandma and Grandpa Burton and on the right are my Great-Grandma and Grandpa Bryan (cool, they have my name!)

Here is Grandma at work! Doesn't she look busy! I like to go to Grandma's work because everyone there loves me. Most especially Gayle, she's my buddy. There I am with her.

My Daddy was born in Memphis, Tennessee in 1964. Can you believe he was ever a baby!!?? My Daddy lived there for a long time. Daddy has a little brother too. His name is Gardner. Daddy was in the Air Force until November of 1990. That's when Mommy and Daddy got engaged.

This picture was in 1990. My Mommy and Daddy had just gotten engaged! You can still see that glazed new love look, can't you? Hee hee.

Here are some pictures from their wedding. First is my Mommy and Daddy of course. Then there is the picture of Daddy getting the garter off of Mommy's leg. They look so silly!

Finally here is part of Mommy's family. Daddy's family couldn't make it to the wedding. From left to right: Troy, Carole, Bill, Pat, Phil Sr., Naomi, Scott (Daddy), Shelly (Mommy), Steven, Patty, Phil Jr., and in the front is young Christopher. And that is only one side of the family! My Grandma Burton's Mommy and Daddy and everyone couldn't come.

Here is a picture with my Grandma Dowdle. I was about one year old.

I went to Memphis when I was three. I got to see my Grandma Dowdle again and I got to meet my Grandpa Dowdle too! My Grandma has Multiple Sclerosis. That's why she is in a wheelchair in the picture. Maybe someday they will find a cure for that too! I miss my Grandma and Grandpa Dowdle, they live in Memphis Tennessee, so I don't get to see them very often. I've only been to Memphis once, but it was really neat. We were there for Thanksgiving. Luckily I had my portable dialysis cycler by then, so my Mommy and Daddy didn't have to do my dialysis by hand.

My Daddy worked for County Market in Great Falls for seven years! But in August of 1998 my Daddy got a job working with computers! He LOVES computers! He worked for Montana Communications Network until June of 2000. Here he is at MCN. Now he is the webmaster at Rocky Mountain College.

The only bad thing about my Daddy getting a new job was that it was in Billings, Montana. That ment we had to move away from my Grandma and Grandpa Burton. They come to visit sometimes though.

I have lots and lots of realitives all over. I have great-grandparents in Escondido, California and Monticello, Utah. I've been to both those places.

I was not in a good mood when we tried to take this picture. We were in Memphis, Tennessee for Thanksgiving 2000. There is Uncle Gardner and Grandpa Dowdle in the back and then me, Grandma Dowdle, Daddy, and Mommy in the front.
