Bryan's Kidney Page

Hi! My name is Bryan and I am fourteen years old. I was born with kidney failure due to posterior urethral valves (obstructive uropathy). Even before I was born the doctors told my Mom and Dad that I would die, but I'm way too stubborn! You can ask my Mom about that! I have had a lot of surgeries and was on peritoneal dialysis at home from age one until I was five. Then my Mom gave me one of her kidneys. I also have been diagnosed with autism.
My Mom wanted to let everyone know about me and a little about kidney failure and all that goes with it as well as autism. She wants other moms and dads who have extra special kids to know they aren't alone.
